Peter Baum Photograph

Peter Baum, who still prefers classic black-and-white photography to color photography, combines the skills of the insightful, closely observant photo essayist with the often given needs of the faster-acting press photographer. From the rich image collection of more than four decades of activity, around one hundred photographs are shown in this volume, from portraits to live shots of the jazz world. To round off the visual impressions and provide a characterizing summary, the well-known photography expert and museum director Carl Aigner has written an insightful introductory essay.
