To mark the 175th anniversary of photography, an international expo at the Carlswerk in Cologne-Mülheim will pay homage to the photo book as a form of artistic expression from August 19, 2014. To mark the premiere of the PhotoBookMuseum, the Kettler publishing house is releasing the PBM_Catalogue Box - visually inspired by the traditional shipping containers in which most of the exhibitions in the halls of the former cable factory are presented. It contains 39 individual publications designed as leporellos, brochures or posters, each dedicated to a project. The content ranges from now legendary reference works on the history of photo book culture, the experimental beginnings of the genre in the 1950s, to current artistic positions and specialist areas such as the photonovel.

On the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the birth of photography, an internationally oriented Expo starting on the 19th of August 2014 in the Carlswerk in Cologne-Mülheim pays homage to the photo book as a form of artistic expression. For the premiere of the PhotoBookMuseum the Verlag Kettler has published the PBM_Catalogue Box – visually reminiscent of the traditional ship containers in which the exhibitions in the halls of the former cable factory are mostly presented. It contains 39 individual publications designed as fanfold flyers, booklets or posters, each dedicated to one project.
